If you’d like the ultimate in personal attention and service, let one of our experienced staff members take you on not one, but two, personally guided Grotto dives.

• For your first dive, we generally go to depths of 100 to 130 feet, depending on your experience and comfort level. See objects such as the boats, satellite dish, airplane, tow sub and a baby blue, two-tone ‘55 Chevy. On the way up, you’ll get to scale a 100-foot-tall vertical cliff — with barely the effort needed to climb a set of stairs at home.
• For your second dive, we usually circumnavigate the Grotto not once, but twice, at 50 and 35 feet. Here you will see the Grotto’s outstanding geological formations, including deeply recessed bedding planes and Pleistocene-era fossils from 30 million years ago. (For grins and giggles, we’ll even stop by the Gnome City on the way back.)

To take part in guided dives, you will need to be a certified diver, have logged at least four dives in the past twelve months, and be comfortable in a full, 7 mm wetsuit. If it’s been a while since you have been in the water, you may want to opt for one of our Scuba Tune Up courses as well.

• 40 Fathom Grotto admission (normally $49.95 per person).
• Two guided dives.
• Souvenir CD-ROM photo album.
